We all enjoyed getting involved in different activities to promote the importance of friendship in our school. We made friendship keys, poems, songs and even potions!!! Here are some pictures from our week….
Friendship Week 2016/17
Friendship week will commence in Dromahane N.S. on Monday the 3rd of October. We are looking forward to getting involved in various activities that emphasis the importance of friendship and respecting one another.
3rd and 4th Class Football Blitz
On Wednesday the 28th of September, the boys and girls of 3rd and 4th class travelled to Killavullen to take part in a football blitz. Each of the teams played 3 matches and gave a great performance in all. It was a very well run event and a thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone. Well done boys and girls!!
Local Sports Ground
The boys and girls of Dromahane N.S. recently had their first football training session at the new sports ground located in the centre of the village. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to put this facility in place. We look forward to using it throughout the year.

Hope everyone had a lovely summer and are coming back refreshed for another busy school year.

Dromahane N.S. receive STEM award
Dromahane N.S. received their STEM award today!!!!!
6th Class graduate with Honours!!!
Today, Wednesday 22nd June, 6th Class graduated from Dromahane N.S.. An End of Year Mass, where 6th Class were guests of honour, was held in Dromahane Church at 10am. 6th Class parents and family members were invited back to the school for refreshments and the “graduation ceremony” continued!!!
Second Class receive their First Holy Communion
Second Class received their First Holy Communion on Saturday 4th June at 11am. A lovely ceremony was held in St, Peter’s Church followed by refreshments in the school. Congratulations second class!
Dromahane receives 3rd Green Flag
Dromahane received their 3rd Green Flag on Monday 16th June in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Little Island. 4th class were guests of honour on the day performing the song “Switch it off, Don’t run off”, which they composed.
