Dr. Sinéad Devine, forensic psychologist, from MGMS Training Limited is delivering a presentation to parents/guardians on ‘Social Media Challenges for Parents’. The presentation will take place in Dromahane National School on Tuesday November 8th at 7:30pm. Free admission. All welcome.
Maths week 2016 was a very successful week in our school!! We completed maths trails and maths games. We made human 2D shapes and found different types of lines, angles and patterns around the school grounds. We also created maths equations to describe ourselves!!! Our school also completed the Mangahigh maths challenge. This involved playing a variety of maths games from different strands of the curriculum. We got an incredible combined total of 4791 points. Well done to all the participants!!!! It was a very enjoyable week!!!

We all enjoyed getting involved in different activities to promote the importance of friendship in our school. We made friendship keys, poems, songs and even potions!!! Here are some pictures from our week….
Friendship week will commence in Dromahane N.S. on Monday the 3rd of October. We are looking forward to getting involved in various activities that emphasis the importance of friendship and respecting one another.
On Wednesday the 28th of September, the boys and girls of 3rd and 4th class travelled to Killavullen to take part in a football blitz. Each of the teams played 3 matches and gave a great performance in all. It was a very well run event and a thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone. Well done boys and girls!!
The boys and girls of Dromahane N.S. recently had their first football training session at the new sports ground located in the centre of the village. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to put this facility in place. We look forward to using it throughout the year.
