Junior Entreprenuer 6th Class 2017

The students of 6th class have worked diligently over the last couple of months under the guidance of their teacher Ms.Brennan to create entrepreneurial businesses as part of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. The class were divided into groups and each group set out to create a real business conceived from scratch with real products and services to attract real customers who pay for what is produced.

The ideas created were excellent and varied from calendars, to coasters, to Dromahane’s own version of Monopoly ‘Dromopoly’ . The deciding vote was cast by our three dragons: Mr. Murray, Ms. O’Sullivan and a special guest dragon Jim Barry of Barry Group, Mallow. The decision was tough but was made and the winning group together with all of 6th class will bring their business to the Junior Entrepreneur Showcase Day.

A special thank you to Jim Barry who took the time to come and see our projects!!

Operation Transformation 10@10!!

Every student of D.N.S was out in force on Friday the 10th of February to take part in Operation Transformation’s 10 minutes of exercise at 10 o’clock!! We completed a variety of exercises including jumping jacks, lunges and squats. We ensured that we were fully active for the full ten minutes!! Everyone really enjoyed participating and we hope to incorporate whole school initiatives like this more frequently into our busy school life! It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures from the morning!!!
